Make a ReferralTakapuna Hand Therapy was opened in April of 2008 by Ellen van Essen – a registered hand therapist with over 14 years experience in the area of hand and upper limb therapy.
Ellen returned to Auckland in the latter part of 2007 after spending a year and a half with her family, living and working in Perth – Western Australia. After deciding to settle on the North Shore, she started looking at setting up a practice locally, working mostly school hours to fit in with the needs of her family. The clinic is open Monday to Friday with flexible hours from 8am – 2pm
This practice holds an ACC hand therapy contract. This means that the cost of all therapy and splinting for ACC injury patients is covered – we DO NOT surcharge.
